My wife is the best
My wife is seriously the best. I know it’s in the title, but I need to say it again and will probably say it a few more times in this post.
She knows me better than I know myself, and she reminds me of that constantly. I think a lot of times, we hear wives referred to as, “the old lady”or “the ball and chain”, but I don’t think those are helpful in grasping the image of what a wife is, nor do I believe they’re true in any way.
For me, my wife is my biggest supporter, my best friend, my biggest advocate, my challenger, my encourager and, well, you get the picture… I could go on and on about how she makes me feel and the things that she does for me; but, overall, she’s the best.
God knew what he was doing when he put Emily in my life, and I know his masterful work is at play every day in our marriage. As I leap into unknowns, he knew I’d need Emily by my side to help me. To remind me of who I am and the vision that God has given me to help others that are in rough spots in life.
That’s what brings us here. That’s why I started Approach The Climb. I wanted to create a platform and service for those that are truly struggling in the world where they feel safe to work through tough issues. To bring stories, insights and strategies to help each of YOU on your personal climb to success. Everyone’s journey looks different, but we endure the same mental states along the way, and I’m here to help be a support to you along that journey.
This is the first of many blog posts. They’ll be sporadic. They’ll be chaotic. That’s my life. I have two boys, Jackson (5) and Judah (2), and they truly are wild at heart and adventurous little guys. I want to show them what’s possible in our world that has so many uncertainties. I want to paint a picture of what marriage should be, so that they’ll know what to look for in a partner later in life. But above all, I want to show them who God is and how to live a life that honors Him.
Until next time… but before you go… who’s your supporter? Who’s the one in your life that urges you to be the best version of yourself and makes sure you remember who you are and why you’re here? Reach out to them, send them a message, write them a letter… just say, “thanks!”
